About Online Maths Teaching
Our Story
Qualified teacher. Can cater to all needs. Hello! My name is Becky, welcome to my profile! In 2014 I graduated with a Degree in Mathematics, in 2015 I qualified as a teacher. At Sixth Form, I studied A-Level Mathematics, Further Mathematics and physics. I have been a tutor for 10+ years and have great results from my students. I tutor foundation and higher GCSE Maths and iGCSE Maths, as well as GCSE Further Maths. I also teach A level and Further Maths A level. I have plenty of experience with Edexcel, AQA, OCR and can teach other exam boards.
Our Approach
𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵: To start your journey, please let me know your exam board and tier. This helps me prepare the relevant material for your lessons. I can send a self assessment which lists every topic on the syllabus if requested. Upon filling it out, I can see what topics the students is comfortable with, what they would like to cover and what they have not been taught in school. Otherwise I can assess through exam papers and identify areas of weakness. Students are welcome to discuss their lessons in school or any homework they need help on.
Before Your First lesson
𝗜𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻: To make the sessions as effective as possible, I recommend the following;
• Use a laptop/computer during your lesson. The lessons are not supported well on phones/tablets. They will often find it more helpful to have a way to contribute to the online whiteboard, so a tablet or graphics pad will support this function.
• Make notes in a notepad dedicated to our sessions.
• Attend the lesson with a fully equipped pencil case and calculator
